No. You don’t need to clean before the cleaner comes. If you’ve got time, a quick pickup of counters, floors, laundry, or toys sets your cleaner up for success and helps more cleaning happen, but panic-cleaning isn’t required.

What should I do before my appointment?

Put away anything private, secure valuables, share access instructions, and tell Tidy KC about pets, priorities, or product preferences.

Can you clean around clutter?

Yes, within reason. Cleaning around clutter is common in lived-in homes. If clutter is the main issue, home organizing may be the better first step.

What if my home is really messy?
