Effective date

These Terms of Service are effective June 8, 2026. They govern your use of the Tidy KC website and your interactions with Tidy KC for cleaning, organizing, move-related cleaning, recurring service, one-time service, and other related services.

By using this website, contacting Tidy KC, requesting an estimate, booking service, or receiving service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or request services.

Services

Tidy KC provides residential cleaning, deep cleaning, recurring cleaning, one-time cleaning, move-in and move-out cleaning, practical home organizing, and commercial cleaning when the location, schedule, and scope are a fit.

Services are performed according to the scope confirmed before or at the time of service. Tidy KC may decline, limit, pause, or reschedule work if the requested service is unsafe, outside the agreed scope, not reasonably accessible, or not a fit for the business.

Be the Light nominations

Tidy KC's Be the Light program allows visitors to nominate a person or household for a possible free clean. Submitting a nomination does not guarantee selection, service, timing, scope, or availability.

Tidy KC may review nominations, contact the nominator or nominee, confirm permission, and decline or limit a nomination for any reason, including service area, schedule, safety, access, scope, privacy, or business-fit concerns.

  • Please only submit truthful information and only share details you are comfortable providing to Tidy KC.
  • A selected recipient may still need to confirm permission, safe access, household details, and cleaning priorities before service is scheduled.
  • Tidy KC will not intentionally publish a nominee's story, photo, or personal details without permission.

Estimates, pricing, and scope

Any estimate, quote, or service recommendation is based on the information available at the time it is given. Pricing and timing may depend on home size, condition, clutter, pets, access, service type, frequency, requested add-ons, special surfaces, and the amount of time needed to complete the work.

If the actual condition or requested scope differs from what was described, Tidy KC may adjust the estimate, limit the work to the time booked, recommend a different service, or decline work that cannot be completed safely or properly.

  • A first clean, deep clean, move clean, or heavily detailed service may cost more than recurring maintenance cleaning.
  • Tasks not discussed or confirmed before service may be treated as add-ons and may require more time or a separate appointment.
  • Tidy KC does not guarantee that every requested task can be completed within a specific time unless that scope has been clearly agreed in writing.

Customer responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing accurate service information, safe access to the property, working utilities when needed, and clear instructions for entry, parking, alarms, gates, pets, and areas to skip.

Before service, customers should secure valuables, fragile items, firearms, medications, personal documents, sentimental items, cash, jewelry, and anything private or irreplaceable. Tidy KC is not responsible for items that were not properly secured or were placed in work areas without notice.

  • Please secure pets in a safe and comfortable way before the appointment.
  • Please disclose fragile surfaces, specialty materials, manufacturer care requirements, active damage, leaks, loose fixtures, or recently repaired areas.
  • Please remove or identify items that should not be moved, touched, discarded, or cleaned around.

Service limitations

Tidy KC provides normal residential and light commercial cleaning and organizing services. Some work requires specialized training, equipment, licensing, disposal procedures, or insurance and is outside Tidy KC's scope.

Tidy KC may refuse or stop service if conditions present health, safety, access, legal, or property-risk concerns.

  • Tidy KC does not provide hoarding cleanup, therapy, counseling, pest removal, mold remediation, biohazard cleanup, sewage cleanup, crime-scene cleanup, medical-grade disinfection claims, or hazardous-material handling.
  • Tidy KC does not move heavy furniture, climb unsafe ladders, clean exterior windows at height, handle active infestations, or clean areas that cannot be safely accessed.
  • Tidy KC does not guarantee removal of permanent stains, hard-water etching, mold, corrosion, burn marks, damaged finishes, old residue, or wear that cannot be corrected through normal cleaning.

Cancellations, rescheduling, and access issues

Tidy KC may set cancellation, rescheduling, lockout, or late-notice policies when booking service. Customers are responsible for communicating schedule changes as early as possible.

If Tidy KC cannot access the property at the scheduled time, if pets are not safely secured, if utilities are unavailable, or if the property condition prevents safe work, the appointment may be shortened, rescheduled, declined, or subject to applicable fees.

Payments and unpaid balances

Customers are responsible for paying all agreed charges for services performed, including any confirmed add-ons, fees, or adjusted scope. Payment terms may be provided at booking, invoicing, or through the payment method used by Tidy KC.

If payment is late, declined, disputed without basis, or unpaid, Tidy KC may pause future services, charge permitted fees, pursue collection, or use available legal remedies.

Damage, breakage, and concerns

Tidy KC takes care while working in customer homes and businesses, but cleaning involves physical work around surfaces, fixtures, and personal property. Customers must report any concern, alleged damage, or missed item as soon as possible after service so it can be reviewed.

Tidy KC may not be responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, improperly installed items, loose fixtures, unstable furniture, deteriorated grout or caulk, damaged finishes, unsecured valuables, or items that are fragile, sentimental, or irreplaceable unless the issue is caused by Tidy KC's negligence and is reported promptly.

Photos, reviews, and communications

Customers may choose to send photos or details about their home to help Tidy KC understand the requested scope. Please avoid sending anything private or sensitive unless it is necessary for the service request.

Tidy KC may use customer reviews, first names, public review content, before-and-after examples, or project photos for business purposes only when appropriate and consistent with privacy expectations, permissions, or public availability. Tidy KC will not intentionally publish private personal information.

Website use

The materials on this website are provided for general information about Tidy KC and its services. Website content may change at any time and is not a guarantee of availability, pricing, results, or suitability for a particular home or business.

You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, copy or republish content without permission, send spam, submit unlawful or abusive material, collect data without consent, or use the website in a way that violates law or infringes the rights of others.

Intellectual property

Severability
